OK - I found it and it's there, and /etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd start shows that
the service started.

When I try to reach the machine via an ssh client, however, I received the
error message:

Server PTY request failed.

That's an unfamiliar one to me.

Any ideas??

Bryan

Are you sure it installed?
If the rpms were installed that file would be there.

Do this: rpm -qa |grep ssh
what does it show?
