I can get above 256 colors only if I check 'no video driver' option,
which forces xserver to run without acceleration and accepts whatever I
had set up on the mac side. If I run it without 'no video driver'
checked then I get blazing speed but only at 256 colors (other modes
report to be 'unsupported'). I don't use Xconfig at all, that is not a
problem. So the question I am asking is: how can I get acceleration
above 256 colors (or 'no video driver' UNchecked)?
And for sound, mixers report that drivers are not installed (/dev/dsp)
and no mixers are found. Used aumix, and gmix. But I can see files
/dev/-dsp
/dev/-dsp1
in my dev folder.
