In my quest to get power management working, I read at:

http://x21.deja.com/[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=524248966&search=thread&CONTEXT=952442393.1077346317&HIT_CONTEXT=952442215.1074462764&HIT_NUM=5&hitnum=8

that the 2.2.12 kernel is needed for this. YDL 1.1 has 2.2.6.

So what is involved in a kernel upgrade? Just download everything
        from:

                ftp://ftp.yellowdog.com/pub/yellowdog/kernel/2.2.12

and stick the vmlinux file in my system folder? Whem do I
install the RPMs? Before or after booting with the new
        vmlinux?
