Subject: YellowDog 1.2 on RS/6000 42T (microchannel bus)?

Last time I inquired whether I could run GNU/Linux on an IBM RS/6000
42T workstation I got as a gift, the conclusion was that I couldn't
because its bus was microchannel. Has the status changed with the
release of YellowDog 1.2? If not, could someone please explicitly
list this model in the unsupported hardware list? It seems that IBM
has flooded Brazilian universities with this model some years ago, and
since AIX 4.1 is so obsolete, many people seem to be interested in
running GNU/Linux on them.
Thanks in advance for any information.
