Subject: iso burn failure

OK, so I tried to burn the CS1.2 ISO with cdrecord, and it got to
568MB of 628MB before doing this:
cdrecord: Input/output error. write_continue: scsi sendcmd: retryable error
there is a bunch more stuff from the error dump, but i just want to
know what an Input/output error is. any ideas? is that error a
media error or a drive?
