Subject: USB mice and reading MacOS partitions

Hi,
I have two questions that I'd be grateful for some help with, please.
First, how do you get Yellow Dog to recognise a USB mouse on a G3
PowerBook? I've tried running mouseconfig but it doesn't pick it up. The
mouse does not move and when you try to start X, it fails saying 'no
such device'. I have two USB mice, one with two and one with three
buttons, and neither work. The built-in touchpad is fine, though.
Second, is it possible to read files in the MacOS partition, and if so,
how do you do it?
Many thanks!
Jo
