Is the ssh daemon running on the host that you are trying to connect to? That
will definately give you the Connection closed by foreign host error.

Check /var/log/messages on the host you are trying to connect to (the one that
is running the daemon) and look for the error message. If the ssh daemon is
running, and it refused the connection then there should be some clue as to
why the connection was refused.
