Hrmm... looks like I was mistaken. I just checked my CS 1.1 disk and
the sound modules are not included in the kernel RPM. I thought that
is where they came from, but I guess that must just be the case with
the newer YDL kernel RPM's. However, sound did work for me with CS 1.1,
so I don't really understand how you can have neither modules nor
compiled in support.
