Ben-
I recently got similar errors during my yellowdog install, as have
others. Oddly enough, I also got the same error messages during my recent
RedHat 6.0 ftp install. This leads me to believe it is not a yellowdog
problem (as I had at first assumed.) The answer seems to be to keep
trying until you get through- during my redhat install, this came on
about the 4th retry, while others here have reported very quick (1st
retry) to very slow (i.e., never.) One question: are you sure there was
no network activity? IIRC, I got network activity on each retry. I can't
be sure, though. Good luck with the HD install-
