Dan-

I'd respectfully suggest (if I were you and I had talked directly to redhat)
that the problem is at least partially **on the software end**, and RedHat
needs to be told that. I've gotten this same result installing on x86 from
*sunsite*, which does not get full, does not timeout (at least not for
substantially longer than a redhat install requires) and never, ever has
connection problems (I consistently get ~700K/s from them, since I am
practically next door.)

Furthermore, while having done nearly a dozen 5.x installs from metalab, I
never had any such "time out/server full" problems. I'd venture to guess the
6.0 install procedure has some incompatibility with a specific ftp server
that cropped up somewhere when they added complexity in order to support http
install. (BTW, has anyone gotten these messages with an http install?)
"try another server" should not be an acceptable answer.

I'm just one small user, and have very little influence with RedHat. You, as
a fellow distributor, might have better luck. They don't do good x.0
releases, and this is just another one of those flaws. Someone ought to point
it out forcefully.
