Subject: YDL, XDMCP, GDM

I would like to use eXceed on my laptop to open an X session on my YDL
box, but I can't seem to get the YDL box set up correctly. I'm not
exactly sure what I am looking for, or what config file needs to be set?
Can I use the default prefdm/gdm? Or should I be using xdm? Or are these
essentially the same thing? As it stands I can open X sessions from
other workstations on campus (SGI's), but not my YDL box.
