  Or replace in your /etc/X11/XF86Config the line:
        FontPath "unix/:-1"
by
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo"
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/PEX"
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi"
             FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"
             FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
             FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
(or any directory you find in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts). Restart X, enable
java in Netscape, et voila, it works (on both Intel and PPC platform).
