I've been struggling with this for a week or so now, and I can't seem to
find a solution.

I'm trying to install a prebuilt 2.2.10 kernal on my Blue & White G3. I've
grabbed two versions, Rev1 and Rev2, and tried both, (I'm not sure which
rev I have, and I can't seem to find anywhere that says what the difference
is). Both kernels boot but the date is read as midnight Jan 1 1970, which
means I can't build anything.

The reason I'm trying to upgrade is to get a contour unimouse to work. I'm
upgrading from YellowDog Champion 1.0 which I've already upgraded to 2.2.6.
The mouse works erratically in both the 2.2.10s I've tried. In windowmaker
I need triple clicks instead of double clicks and the right button doesn't
work most of the time. xev does see the events from the right button
though, as emacs can see it ok.

Anyone got any ideas about what I might have missed.

The other option I guess is to compile my own kernel, but I can't seem to
find all the source. I got the source from the linuxppc.org site but when I
tried to install the SRPM is said I needed the kernel headers, which I
couldn't find.

Cheers

Pete
