Aha!

I downloaded /sbin/clock from

http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/yellowdog/1.0/champion-1.1/ppc/RedHat/RPMS/clock-1.
1-6a.ppc.html

last night. Having installed the RPM and rebooted my system got the time
from the system clock correctly. Problem solved. Which incidentally also
solved the problem with my password having expired the whole time.
/sbin/clock is also responsible for reading from the PRAM clock and setting
the system clock on boot apparently. I didn't have to set the PRAM clock
from linux at all.

>Yep, I am curious too...

Still don't understand how 2.2.6 got it right though. Hmmmm.

The next problem I need to solve though is the reason I upgraded to 2.2.10
in the first place, is to get my contour unimouse working properly. It's
still does odd things. It needs triple clicks instead of double clicks to
launch apps in WindowMaker, the right click doesn't work properly, (I have
to hold it down to keep menu's open etc). But emacs under WindowMaker works
perfectly so it's not the mouse itself (besides, it works in MacOs just
fine).

Do I need a later kernel still? Or is there some other config I've missed.
The contourdesign web site just says about a kernel upgrade, which I've now
done!

Cheers.

Pete
