Nope. Netscape (and several other applications) are a bit retarded when it
comes to file name extensions over 3 letters. What is happening is Netscape
is confusing .rpm (Macintosh/Windows RealPlayer Media File) with .ppc.rpm or
.src.rpm (RedHat (ppc, src) Package Manger File).

You can always use Netscape, but reconfigure *.rpm to save file as binary.
However note this has a negative side effect in Mac OS -- it means your
browser may have trouble playing RealPlayer files.

If fetch is using Internet Config (or Internet CDEV settings) you also
should reconfigure those settings.

Another way to deal with this is simply right click (control-click on Mac OS
8.x/9.x) choose save file as and save as binary format (and NOT text).
