There was previous discussion about installing to a Jaz, and where it
is possible, it is not advised, especially if Orb is like Jaz in that
it spins down when idle. The Jaz discussion said that the drive
never spun down when Linux was run from it. This drive was not
intended for constant use like that and would burn out.

I'd go for an external hard drive. You can get a 4Gb in a box
probably cheaper than the cost of the removable drive.
