A safe method of erasing files with strange names (including dash), is to
do the following:

rm -- '??"?'

the -- tells rm that the file is not an argument.
the quotes quote most everything (use \' for a single quote, \\ for a
backslash)

This is a nice thing to know if you accidentally save a file named '-' or
if someone creates a file named '-rf /*'.
