Ah, I was having the same problem. I couldn't mount the CDROM or HFS disk.
'lsmod' shows no modules loaded at all. I did an 'insmod cdrom.o' and it told me
that the module was compiled for 2.2.6-16.apmac, while the kernel version is
2.2.6-16.bpmac.

I installed off a 1.1 CD that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what
happened. Guess I need to update the modules, or downgrade the kernel...
