Forgot to mention in last post. Still getting the following errors from
xset when trying to force a dpms action:

xset dpms force standby (after applying 'xset +dpms' - an extra unnessary
step)

produces:

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 146 (DPMS)
Minor opcode of failed request: 6 (DPMSForceLevel)
Serial number of failed request: 11
Current serial number in output stream: 13

As does 'xset dpms force suspend' and 'xset dpms force off'.

As a side note, Gxset also fails to set this for me too.

Anyone with expertise know of a fix for this?

Thanks

Ev.
