Now that I've got a version of this up and running, I have some questions. I did check around, but it seems RS/6K info is scarce.

1. If for some reason, I wanted to look at the kernel source for this, has the F50, B50, etc. mods made it into the Linux source tree. From the install I'm assuming this will be 2.2.12.

2. I assume from the redbook I saw on IBM's site about the B50 that we will be able to boot directly from the hard drive sometime. Is this coming sooner or later? Can I ask who is working on this? Do they need a beta tester :-) ?

3. Can I install and use this using just an rs-232 terminal? We put most of our Rs/6K's in the data center and since terminals and switch boxes are cheaper than graphics cards and monitors, we tend to buy terminals. We run X remotely from our desktops though, so I would need the X server running.

4. Is there any info around on how to make the install and boot disks? How about a bootable CD (from an x86 box unfortunately).

Thanks for the info.
