The optimal way to do this is if you can download the distro to another
machine running Linux. I downloaded to a RedHat box and built the image
using mkisofs, with Rock-Ridge Extensions enabled (instructions are in the
Man page). I then transferred the image to a PC and burned it to disc with
Easy CD Creator, but Toast will work as well. The key is to be able to
create the ISO image with the Rock-Ridge Extensions to preserve the
filenames.
