hi,

apologies if this is covered in the past messages, if so, please point me
at the archive, and i'll look there. on to the problem:

i've got a powermac 7200/90. trying to install ydl 1.1, and i've got bootx
1.1.1 (from the ydl1.1 cd). i've installed vmlinux and the ramdisk, but
when i select (in bootx, with all the default checkboxes, and no kernel
arguments) linux and hit the confirm to boot, the screen goes black
(ultimately it loses sync), and all activity (seems) to cease.

at this point, my options are to reboot, or to reboot.

i'm sure this is a common problem, with a common solution, but i've yet to
discover one on deja or elsewhere. can anyone help? many thanks!

bob
