Subject: Adding modules

When upgrading a precompiled kernel it comes with new modules. When I went
to install them the path was different. i.e.
<lib/modules/2.2.15pre19> the "2.2.15pre19" is different them what is on my
drive.
Should I put it in as a second folder inside the modules folder.
or
Just dump them in and overwrite the old stuff with the old folders name.
or
Should I use the new name and put in the missing items into the new folder
This has to do with upgrading my kernel and Xpmac to get full color on a G4
