Hey all ;)

Anyone actually given the XFree 4 instuctions a go?

All of the X4 RPMs go in nicely except this one:

XFree86-4.0-0.6d.ppc.rpm

Seems HIGHLY important. ;) I get the following error:

XFree86 ######################unpacking of archive
failed on file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults: cpio: unlink failed - Bad
file descriptor

So yeah, all interesting. I tried downloading the file again but no luck
(first time with Netscape, second time with Lynx).

Has someone (or could someone) mirror a nice working copy of the file for
me? I am enjoying being console only (every Linux user should have a
fully working console environment with PPP etc) but wouldn't mind my gui
back ;)

Thanks all.

Evan.

p.s. I am on a Rev B 233 iMac (Bondi Blue). I am assuming I am all
compatible with X4.
