I would suggest running something that has both better performance and
is easier to use than sendmail. Give Exim a try (it's either on the CD,
or search for it at rpmfind.net) - info at http://www.exim.org.
Another good mailserver is Qmail - but it's setup is long and complex,
and should be attempted when you have a bit of time on your hands to
play around.
