Hello,

As you know I am a newbie using YDL.
I have been installed YDL 2.1 on my iMac 350
The apache have a strange problem: I can access my custom web pages using:
ip/~user
However when I try to access the pages from another machine (not the server
machine) it doesnąt work. No messages no error codes. It just doesnąt work
and after some time trying to access the browser send me a message: "a
connection failure has occurred".
When I type just the ip number its work and I see the default apache
yellowdoglinux page.
The directory html_public is setup as 755 and I try it like 777. Nothing
change.
Another trouble; this time mysql
I try to start mysql using "service mysqld start" but it doesnąt work
Console send me this message:
"Initializing MySQL database Sorry, the host '.' could not looked up.
Please configure the 'hostname" command to return a correct hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with the
--force option"
I used "--force" and the same thing happens.
Ok I think I need set up another host name, but how????
Please help me. I'm lost

Thank you so much

Bye

mafrota
