well, right now... i had drive setup just initialize the WHOLE disk as one
big HFS partition for macOS 9.1. i didnt realize i couldnt resize partitions
without destroying data til afterwards.

which means i might as well format it again (initialize) since theres
nothing on it at the moment. im guessin ill just make a 10gb partition for
the macOS and a another one for linux (plus the two swaps partitions).

if anyone knows why my modem wouldnt be working in linux, i'd love to have
some light shed for me on that... (iMac internal modem). tried using both
the 2.2.19 kernel and the 2.4.12 kernel from ppckernel.org (specialized
kernel for my machine). in the 2.2.19 kernel nothing happens. the dmesg
shows the modem and the modem name and the port its on, but when i send an
ATZ to the modem, it won't respond with "OK".

in 2.4.12 (i think that was the number), the modem would respond to the
intial ATZ, but nothing else. and i could hear it click through my speakers!
if i can get my modem going.. *drools* ...i'd be sooo happy.
