Check to see if your /etc/resolv.conf file is correct. If you don't even
have one, then make it and it should read something like this:

search yourisp.com
nameserver 123.123.123.2

you should have gotten the numbers from your isp, so if you have several
just create new 'nameserver' lines. How that helps.
