Greetings,

     We've been (unsuccessfully) attempting to add a NetGear GA621 as a
second ethernet card to a G4 Dual-533Mhz machine. (NetGear has
discontinued their GA620.) We fully realized that a kernel rebuild was
neccessary. Unfortunately, after several attempts that resulted in
"unbootable" kernels we hit upon a kernel that booted but was unstable
with the NetGear card.

     First, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

     We were working with 2.4.10-12asmp that shipped with YDL 2.1. We
also d/led and tried later releases: 2.4.16, 2.4.17.

     Would someone be so kind as to send an SMP kernel config file for the
G4 to help get us on the right track?

     Has anyone successfully added a NetGear ethernet card?
