I used netcfg to configure ppp0 to dial out to the Internet. Everything
works great until I disconnect; approximately 15sec later it dials out on
its own. Even with netcfg showing that ppp0 is inactive it still dials out
and connects to my ISP.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I am using an iMacDV with an internal modem.
