Subject: screen doesn't wake up from sleep

OK, I've been running my Lombard Powerbook for several months
now just fine: sleeping works perfectly. Lately, however, when
waking up from sleep, the screen doesn't turn back on. (I
haven't changed anything, honest!)
I resort to typing blind to restart the machine. The thing is
that it doesn't always happen, although the frequency seems to
be increasing. Also, it's never happened while running on AC
power, only the battery (but it doesn't happen every time while
on batter power). Hence, it's not clear whether it's a bug in
the X server or in PMUD (or something else entirely).
Other details:
- kernel 2.2.15-1.9.0
- X server: XFree86 3.3.6 Xpmac
- pmud 0.6-1
Anybody have any ideas?
