hi,
samba is realy easy to configure, just follow this steps:
1.- edit /etc/initd.conf with any editor, vi or jed will work, uncoment
this line:

#swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/sbin/swat swat
to be like this:
swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/sbin/swat swat

2.- now run setup and active the smbd daemon and the nmbd (samba itself),
go back
to shell and type #samba start, the smbd and nmbd daemons should start ok

3.- Now restart inetd.conf with something like this: ps x|grep inetd.conf
                                                      kill -HUP
xxxx(inetd.conf PID)

4.- Now startx and netscape or use lynx, type the url: http://localhost:901
a graphical interface will be displayed. Now itīs so easy to configure all
things.

5.- Enjoy,

if you have some ploblem just drop me a line
regards,

                 Roberto.
