as far as I remember, I answered this already ...

when you boot, stick the install CD into the CD/DVD drive and type this:

install rootdev=/dev/hdaXX

where XX is the number of your partition, usually 10, 11 or 12.

this will NOT install but instead load the kernel of the bootable YDL 2.0 CD
and then continue to run from your hard drive.
