identd question

  I got the latest copy of identd, did the usual ./configure, make,
make install .. made sure it was uncommented on the inetd.conf but I
the inetd stuff is not working still. Anyone has a pointer to a page
with detailed instructions? I have been able to bet pieces of info
here and there only. Thanks
