If the 'pdisk /dev/sdb' doesn't work you might check the formatting on your
disk from the Mac side. I just ran into exactly the same error when I tried
to
mount a "dos" zip disk from my Windblows laptop. After fussing around
trying
different mount types for a bit until I got bored. then I stuck in a mac
formated zip disk and the mount command (mount -t hfs /dev/sdb /mnt/zip in
my case)
worked just fine. Reformated the dos disk with Ziptools and it seems to
mount fine
as well :)
