I think the man wants a bootp server, for which you can install the dhcpd
server package which will do bootp and dhcp. dhcpd is a standalone
service (eg: doesn't use inetd / xinetd) and you'll need to read *all* of
it's documentation carfully to get the configs right before turning it on.
Please be aware that running a DHCP server can wreak havok on a network
with another DHCP server running if you aren't carefull...
