Ok, "serial" is not there anymore, after typing "rmmod" and
rebooting the machine it disappeared.
Moreover, and I am very happy for that, the bad massage I
had on the login prompt also disappeared.

YDL 2.1 is now just working as 2.0 did, it's already
something tough...

I tried again to add the alias line to /etc/modules.conf,
run "depmod -a" and reboot but nothing seem to happen.

I dont see "macserial" in the lsmod menu, should I?

wdial still gives "modem not responding".
(The previos KDE had aldo an Automatic Recognition of modem
devices that I can not find in this new version.)

What do you suggest?
