Hi,

I am new to YDL and Linux in general and have a quick question regarding the
installation process. I have a newer iMac G3 that uses the NewWorld ROM boot
system. I am trying to install YDL 2.1 as a completely new operating system
(wiping away the existing 9.x OS). I bought the CD from YDL directly - thus
alleviating any burning issues. I can boot the CD-ROM as specified in the
installation guides however, when the installation program starts up, the
program takes me to the point of asking me for the YDL file source (i.e.
CD-ROM) and I choose CD/DVD. The next screen gives me an error "The
installer was unable to mount the CD/DVD" I retry a few times but it does
not appear to recognize the CD-ROM however, in the boot sequence, I see it
load the CD-ROM drive as hdb. I do not actually see a mount command but it
blows by rather fast.

I am choosing the install-text installation. Any pointers are helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Mark Douglass
