The server I just set up with Yellow Dog Linux is going to disappear because
the person that owns the computer wants it back. I have another mac that I
can use as a server, though. I have already tarred and gzipped the entire
hard drive on the old server. My question is, will I be able to boot off
the Yellow Dog install CD on the new server, format the hard drive, quit the
installer, and then use FTP to transfer the file to the new server and untar
it? Will such a thing work? Please respond quickly as I have to make the
switch today...
