Subject: Original PB G3 will not ethernet

I have installed on an Original G3 PowerBook -- pre-WallStreet,
no accelerated graphics, looks like a PB 3400.
I have beat on netconf, netcfg, ifconfig, and every other danged fig
I could find. I have also tried several patched kernels.
I am onfident of the hardware as i can network from MacOS, and I am
using all the same IP addresses and hostnames.
Best I can figure is that this thing has the same modem/etherport as
a 3400. Anyone out there know where I have to hit this thing to get
the network to respond ?
