Thanks a lot for the prompt response -- just one question left and one new
one:

> > -- symbolic links won't download -- they are just ignored.

these troublesome symlinks are in:
/pub/yellowdog/champion-1.1/ppc/RedHat/instimage/usr/bin
/pub/yellowdog/champion-1.1/ppc/RedHat/instimage/lib

Other than the symlink issue, if I've got all but /misc/src, I should be
good to go, right?

LAST question (hopefully):
What's up with /misc/CD ? -- looks like scripts for building a hybrid CD
image.
I need to run mkINSTALLCD, right? How? On a RH (Intel) box, or is there
a way from Windows?
If on RH, just run it from misc/CD and it will work its magic, so I can
then burn the .img from Windows?

Sorry for all the questions- I just want to get it right the first time.

thanks again,

mike
