Just an update.....

My G4AGP has a 27gig (os9) and a 10gig (ydl)

I was getting the black screen when i selected linux and it ended up being
that my brain was in park when i downloaded the updated kernel from YDL and
finally realizes I needed to uncompress it. After I did that it came up just
fine.
