The guide is obscure for me in ch 4.3-4.4

I have a ATI HD with HFS+ and MacOS 8.6, wich I want to keep.
Then a second SCSI HD where I want to try YDL.

1. How do I format the SCSI HD, just Mac and unalocated?
2. Do I need a small HFS partition with a minimal MacOS on the SCSI?
3 Does the BootX, ramdisk and vmlinux go into the ATI HFS+ (my normal)
systemfolder?

Will I have problems because its a HFS+ ?
