I get the same problem on my monitor as well. I am using a multi-sync
monitor so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Or perhaps it has to
do with the video card (I have an ixMicro Twin Turbo 8 meg card).

It could very well be a combination of the 2 because in MacOS, although a
resolution of 640x480 and 800x600 at 60Hz is fine, when I step it up to
1024x768 and change the freq to 72 or 75Hz, everything gets shifted. Now
here is the odd thing: When I shift everything over to get a normal screen
in MacOs then boot up YDL (with video arguments and drivers ENABLED), the
YDL text screen is shifted but X comes up cleanly.

So I too ask, whats going on here??

Carlos
