Subject: Damaged Kernel sources

It seems as though every kernel source I downloaded it damaged. I'm
getting them from kernel.org.
My linux machine has no modem, so I'm downloading everything into my
powerbook g4 (OS X) and then getting the compressed source files via ftp
onto the linux box. I've downloaded 3 sources and they've all ben
corrupted, apparently. bzip2 (or tar -zxf) just refuse to decompress
them, though tar makes an effort and reports an error after some
decompressing.
