Hello, I've installed YDL 2.1 on a PowerMac 6500/250. I'd like to use it
as a webserver (Apache, already got it working :)), a ftp server, and
I'd like to remotly log into it with telnet. I know that SSH is safer,
but I want to use telnet because it is more widespread, especially on
the machines I plan to use to access the server.
How do you enable the telnet server? I've heard that you can simply edit
the /etc/inetd.conf file and uncomment the telnet service line. I do
this on my Mac OS X box. But the file isn't there in Yellow Dog!
Also, how do I enable the FTP server that I (think) I installed? I did a
default "everything" installation.
