Subject: YDL installer can't find CD (2)

ok, i tried all of the tricks
1. (echo 0 > /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/check_media)
2. tried using 2.2 kernel w/o video driver
i found this out:
the ram disk supplied with the installer mounts the cd (/dev/hdc in this
case) in /mnt/media . for some reason the folder that should say "yellowdog"
has the "g" missing! perhaps this is why the installer cant find the "CD"
.... has anyone had this problem before? can this be fixed by using a
different method of burning the iso?
has anyone ever gotten an install cd burned on a mac to work?
