   Ok I am not sure if it will help you what you can try.
    Make next file /etc/sysconfig/mouse
                                            MOUSETYPE="imps2"
                                            XMOUSETYPE="IMPS/2"

FULLNAME="UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS MOUSE(USB)"

It is for usb mouse. otherwise I think you can write it and then start the
program setup and change the mouse from the window
