I have since found that kfukui's rpms (with either the new drivers or
the old) gives me -identically- the same result. Which is at least
consistent (but verrrry unsatisfying).
I am suspicious of an incompatibility with a library maybe? Or a
linker issue. The errors (unresolved symbols) do not seem like a
program bug to me.
BTW, the threads may have crossed - I'm using 2.2.18 with XF402.
