 Not sure if this has been covered, I've been away on holidays....

 I found out this weekend that the RPMs for PostgreSQL on the YDL 2.0 CDs
are not good. If you are having problems with Postgres, grab the source
from Postgresql.org and compile and build yourself (which is what I
normally do anyway, but I was out in the middle of nowhere and needed a
database for an impromptu guestbook thingy).
